Membership Types

Ordinary Open Recognised Diagnostic Radiographers and Radiation Therapists who are Singapore citizens, or permanent residents with 5+ years as associates.

  • Access to the SSR Learning Management System (coming soon)
  • Eligibility to join the RTT Alliance (additional $25 fee)

Life By invitation By invitation only — conferred at age 55+ after 15+ continuous years as an ordinary member in good standing. No subscription fee
Associate Open Qualified radiographers who are permanent residents or other nationalities, and members of allied professions interested in the advancement of medical radiography.

  • Automatic submission of CPE points to the AHPC
  • Access to the SSR Learning Management System (coming soon)
  • Eligibility to join the RTT Alliance (additional $25 fee)

Honorary By invitation By invitation only — for those who have rendered meritorious service to the radiographic profession or to this Society. No subscription fee
Student Open Open to student radiographers of recognised radiography training institutions (proof of enrolment required).

New applications and renewals are handled by the SSR Executive Committee.

Apply online via the Membership Application page, or email your documents to exco@ssr.org.sg.

Professional qualifications
One copy of each professional qualification relevant to your category.
Proof of enrolment
Student applicants only. Documentation confirming current enrolment at a recognised radiography training institution.
Converting to Ordinary membership? Provide a letter issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) confirming your citizenship or PR status.

Eligibility for Membership

  • Application for membership can be made at any time of the year.
  • Annual subscription fees are paid for one calendar year (365 days).
  • Admission to the Society is at the sole discretion of the Executive Council.
  • Membership of the Society is not transferable.

Code of Ethics

Every member of the Society is bound by the following principles of professional conduct.

  1. A member shall conduct himself as a person of integrity and shall observe the principles and spirit of this Code in a manner compatible with the dignity of his/her professional.
  2. A member shall provide services to the patient with consideration of human dignity, unrestricted by consideration of sex, race, creed, social, or economic status, personal attributes, or the nature of the health problem.
  3. A member shall make every effort to protect all patients under his care, and other persons from unnecessary radiation.
  4. A member shall conduct and exercise his responsibilities in cognisant within the bounds of his profession.
  5. A member shall judiciously protect the patient’s right to privacy and under no circumstances should any confidential information be divulged beyond ethical channels of communication.
  6. A member shall continually strive to improve his knowledge and skills by participating in educational and professional activities and sharing the benefits of this attainment with his colleagues.
  7. A member shall not accept patients for examination or treatment unless the patient has been referred to him by a registered medical or dental practitioner.
